The Registered Nurse (RN) will play a vital role in delivering exceptional nursing care within the Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit. This position involves utilizing the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to effectively support patients in a critical care environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive care for patients, including teaching, care planning, follow-up, and management of in-basket communications.
- Assist in cardiac triage and other assigned duties in collaboration with healthcare providers.
- Manage medication refills according to established protocols.
- Support the delivery of care through direct patient interactions, ensuring all patient needs are met as outlined in the care plan.
- Conduct ongoing foot care assessments and treatments as required.
Deliver educational resources to patients and their families, ensuring clarity and understanding of the care plan, as reflected in the after-visit summary.
Clinical Competence:Demonstrate proficiency in providing direct patient care, including wound care, foot care, injections, suture removal, catheter insertion, and bladder installations, as well as phone triage when appropriate.
Qualifications:Candidates should possess current Foot & Nail Care Education or be willing to obtain it within five months of employment. Previous clinic experience is preferred.
