The RV Paint & Body Technician plays a crucial role in the repair, restoration, and repainting of damaged recreational vehicles. This position requires expertise in various body construction types and proficiency in utilizing a range of tools and materials to restore vehicles to their original state.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate damaged RVs and determine the necessary repairs.
- Utilize an array of tools and materials, including hammers, grinders, and welding equipment, to repair RV body damage.
- Replace or mend damaged components such as windows, doors, and trim.
- Prepare, prime, and paint repaired sections to seamlessly blend with the RV's existing finish.
- Conduct tests on repaired systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain and organize tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in RV or automotive body repair is preferred.
- Understanding of various RV body construction methods.
- Proficient in the use of tools and materials including hammers, grinders, and welding equipment.
- Familiarity with paint mixing and matching techniques.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality work.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily takes place on-site at the service facility.
- May involve extended periods of standing, walking, and bending.
- May require lifting or moving heavy equipment or materials.
- May involve working in confined spaces or at elevated heights.
- May expose the technician to loud noises, fumes, or chemicals.
- May require working on weekends or holidays.
