Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at the University of Kentucky. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine scientific tasks under supervision or from detailed and controlled lab procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform experiments to test scientific hypotheses for the project following the aims of the Principal Investigator's project.
  • Gather scientific data and provide research data to the Principal Investigator.
  • Organize and maintain records according to established procedures.
  • Perform routine analysis.
  • General duties to provide upkeep for the lab facility.
  • Assist in monitoring the inventory of lab supplies.
  • Organize and maintain supplies necessary for the conduct of research studies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
