Job Title: A&P Field Based Aviation Maintenance Technician

Metro Aviation, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced aviation maintenance professional to join our team as an A&P Field Based Aviation Maintenance Technician.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and airworthy condition of company aircraft, performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a close liaison with the A&P Lead Aviation Maintenance Technician to provide up-to-date and current status of aircraft and forecast downtime
  • Perform aircraft maintenance, including inspection, modification, maintenance, and repair of aircraft, airframe, rotors, propellers, engines, and appliances
  • Communicate with pilots and clinical crew upon arrival at the base regarding the condition of the aircraft
  • Maintain the field base to the standards of company policy and procedure
  • Take ownership and responsibility of each aircraft assigned to the base
  • Prepare and submit material requests and inventory usage reports as directed
  • Maintain company-owned local Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
  • Ensure all necessary aircraft documents and MAI documents are completed and maintained in accordance with applicable 14 CFR Regulations, General Operations Manual, and company policies
Requirements
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Possess sound judgment and objectivity in decision-making
  • Proficient in aircraft maintenance, inspection, and repair
  • A thorough knowledge of FARS, the General Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, and other pertinent information
  • Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years turbine rotorcraft or airplane experience
Physical Demands
  • Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling, squatting for extended periods of time
  • Climbing heights on various equipment
  • Lifting up to 50 or more pounds
Work Environment
  • Indoor/Outdoor environment with potential extreme hot and cold temperatures
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible
  • Moderate to loud noise level
