About the Role

The Assistant Store Manager at Whole Foods Market plays a vital role in ensuring the success of our stores. As a leader, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Team Leader in managing store operations, including inventory management, safety protocols, merchandising strategies, financial performance, and physical plant maintenance. Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with Team Leaders to achieve sales goals, manage expenses, and maintain high-quality customer service
* Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency
* Foster a positive and inclusive store culture that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement
* Lead by example, demonstrating a customer-first approach and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of store operations
* Provide coaching and development opportunities to Team Members to enhance their skills and advance their careers

Requirements

* 2+ years of experience in a leadership role in Retail/Culinary/Hospitality or related industries
* Proven track record of achieving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer service
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire high-performing teams
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
* Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications
* Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
