Job Summary

The Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI) is seeking a skilled Nursing Rehabilitation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct and indirect patient care activities to support the rehabilitation of patients aged 15 and older.


Key Responsibilities
  • Administer personal care to patients, including bath and skin care, while demonstrating a fundamental understanding of rehabilitation concepts to meet elimination, nutritional, and psychosocial needs.
  • Respond consistently to direction from licensed clinical professionals and demonstrate good judgment in setting priorities and adapting work schedules and assignments.
  • Provide input to the staff nurse in an organized and efficient manner for use in patient assessment and care planning, recognizing and reporting changes in a patient's health status.
  • Complete other unit duties as assigned or unassigned, including responding quickly to call lights for all patients and offering assistance to team members without being asked.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CNA or allied health professional preferably within a rehabilitation setting
  • Experience as a military medical corpsman or another recent patient contact position will be considered
  • Min 1 year of medical assistant experience
  • Must have CPR training in accordance with American Heart Association standards prior to hiring and maintain current thereafter
