Job Title: Mechanical CAD Designer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical CAD Designer to join our team at EAPC Architects Engineers. As a Mechanical CAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality designs and delivering outstanding results to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist project managers and principals on projects from concept to completion.
  • Utilize CAD software to create schematic, process, and construction drawings and 3D models for piping, equipment, and structures.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, internal and external, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Perform construction management tasks as necessary, including site visits and LiDAR scanning.
  • Verify and interpret applicable codes and regulations.
  • Report to the Industrial Services Design Lead for training and work scheduling.
  • Assist in improving department drafting procedures and standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two-year associate degree in Drafting Technology or related field.
  • 5+ years of drafting experience, preferably in an engineering consulting firm.
  • Related experience with industrial facilities and mechanical design is a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and CADWorx Plant software.
  • Experience with LiDAR scanning equipment and software is a plus.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites occasionally.
