CAD Technician/Operator Job Description

ASN Constructors is seeking a skilled CAD Technician/Operator to join our Technical-Design department. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with engineers, architects, and design staff to produce high-quality volumetric drawings and as-built plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize computer-aided drafting techniques to generate work plans, construction drawings, and volume reports.
  • Update software, drawings, and other documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Technical Office and Quality team members to review and compare As-Built drawings with RFI information.
  • Perform earthwork and general quantity calculations from survey data.
  • Generate accurate and detailed as-built drawings and models.
  • Assist with the development of field fit designs and analysis.
  • Maintain an organized file system and perform related work as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in survey, drafting, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge and experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and survey data processing.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Superb work ethic and ability to accept feedback.
Work Environment:

This position is an office position that requires work at a desk and use of email, Microsoft Office, and various other software as required.
