Medical Assistant
Role Overview:
The Medical Assistant will provide essential support in a clinical environment, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient office operations.
Compensation:
- Medical Assistants: $20-25/hour
- Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs): $28-36/hour
- Registered Nurses (RNs): $30-40/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM with a one-hour lunch break.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is required.
- National Certification is advantageous (inquire about the possibility of obtaining this certification during employment).
- If not a Medical Assistant, a valid Maryland LPN or RN license is necessary.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Covid vaccination and booster are mandatory.
- Experience with pediatrics and vaccinations is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience is required.
- Prior experience in an outpatient medical setting is essential.
- Experience with pediatric patients or urgent care settings is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rooming patients and assisting healthcare providers.
- Administering tests, developmental screenings, injections, and conducting vision/hearing tests.
- Training will be provided for phone triage and blood draws if not previously experienced.
- Experience with phone triage is a plus.
