Position Overview: We are currently in search of a proficient and seasoned Family Law Attorney to enhance our legal team.

Job Title: Family Law Attorney

Employment Type: Part-time; Contractual.

Compensation: $120 - $175 per hour.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (remote work with court appearances as required).

Work Schedule: 5-10 hours per week with flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct client consultations, offering expert legal guidance in family law and domestic violence.
  • Represent clients in court hearings across various jurisdictions.
  • Lead bench trials as the primary attorney, showcasing strong legal acumen.
  • Conduct depositions with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Oversee and mentor junior attorneys, ensuring exceptional legal representation.

Essential Skills

  • Expertise in drafting legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and court personnel.
  • Negotiation skills to achieve favorable settlements outside of court.
  • Analytical abilities to interpret laws and apply them to individual cases.
  • Empathy towards clients facing emotional challenges.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Commitment to ethical standards, including confidentiality and integrity.

Qualifications

  • Active California State Bar license.
  • No disciplinary record with the State Bar of California.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in family law; Certified Family Law Specialists preferred.
