Academic Oncology Opportunity in Breast Cancer Research

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as we strive to make a lasting impact on cancer research. As an Academic Oncology Opportunity in Breast Cancer Research, you will have a direct impact on educating the next level of medical professionals, from mentoring fellows and residents to guiding medical students, shaping the future of oncology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and contribute to the development of new treatments and therapies for breast cancer
- Collaborate with a specialized group with an integrated cancer program, including clinical research, specialized nursing, surgery, radiation oncology, and a supportive team
- Focus on your interests in medical oncology and receive a minimum of 50% protected time to focus on research and scholarly activities
- Instrumental in our ongoing efforts to close the treatment gap for patients with breast cancer in Louisiana, which has a high incidence of breast cancer
Research Opportunities:
- Participate in randomized screening trials to compare the diagnostic accuracy of screening for breast cancer using three-dimensional digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) plus two-dimensional full-field digital mammography (FFDM)
- Evaluate de-escalation of breast radiation therapy in a Phase III trial comparing breast conservation surgery and endocrine therapy to breast conservation with breast radiation and endocrine therapy
