In this role, you will join a specialized group with an integrated cancer program, including clinical research, nursing, surgery, radiation oncology, and a supportive team. You will also have the opportunity to focus on your interests in medical oncology and receive a minimum of 50% protected time for research and scholarly activities.

Louisiana has a high incidence of breast cancer, with 13.9% of new diagnoses. Your expertise will be instrumental in addressing the treatment gap for these patients.

Tulane Cancer Center is currently involved in several notable research trials, including:

• A randomized screening trial to compare the diagnostic accuracy of three-dimensional digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) plus two-dimensional full-field digital mammography (FFDM) versus two-dimensional full-field digital mammography (FFDM) alone.
• A Phase III trial evaluating whether breast conservation surgery and endocrine therapy result in a non-inferior rate of invasive or non-invasive ipsilateral breast tumor recurrence (IBTR) compared to breast conservation with breast radiation and endocrine therapy.
