Position Summary:

As a Temporary Collections Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to carry out effective and timely collection efforts and initiate recovery actions to reduce risk costs and enhance returns.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and analyze overdue payments within the portfolio and categorize debtors appropriately to determine subsequent collection strategies.
  • Engage with debtors through both telephone and written communication.
  • Oversee the management of debtors and the arrears process.
  • Evaluate quality adjustment requests, compile the necessary documentation, and apply company underwriting criteria to approve or deny requests.
  • Execute all required actions to recover payments and/or close accounts.
  • Document debtor and arrears history to maintain a comprehensive file that supports informed decision-making during collection and recovery processes.
Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in collections, customer service, or sales.
  • Familiarity with the leasing and finance industry is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in French or Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • A collaborative team player with outstanding interpersonal abilities.
  • Results-driven and quality-focused.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing situations.
