Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. is a diversified media company that owns, operates, and/or provides services to 185 television stations in 86 markets affiliated with all the major broadcast networks. Job Description:
This position will involve working as part of a growing online news team, producing national content for Sinclair's network of news sites. The ideal candidate will have a passion for online reporting, excellent writing skills, and the ability to work well under tight deadlines. Some key responsibilities include:
- Writing, selecting, and publishing news stories to Sinclair's network of sites
- Reacting to breaking news quickly and accurately
- Daily news aggregation from around the web and editing of wire service content
- Researching, reporting, and writing original stories
- Producing and editing multimedia elements for online stories
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least three years of experience in online journalism
- Excellent writing skills and knowledge of AP style
- Strong understanding of content usage rights management and restrictions
Salary:
$70,000 - $90,000 per year
