Patient Registration Manager

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Patient Access, the Patient Registration Supervisor is responsible for directing overall activities and personnel involved in patient registration. This role handles patient problems, reports on dependent workload, communicates with physicians and their staff, and is responsible for staffing, promoting, dismissing, and disciplining.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervises registrars and coordinates patient registration functions.
- Performs quality assurance on charts, charges, and demographic data.
- Evaluates employees during their probationary and annually.
- Trains new staff in patient registration functions.
- Reviews and edits time sheets on all employees.
- Assists the Business Office with problem charges and registration issues or concerns.
- Assists in problem-solving with patients, family, or staff concerns.
- Documents disciplinary actions taken on all employees.
- Interacts with all other PMC departments, including the Emergency Department, Medical Records, Business Office, Nursing, and Finance.
- Assumes the duties of Director Patient Registration in their absence.
- Knows fire, disaster, and safety procedures and regulations as they pertain to the work area.
- Associate's Degree, and/or other Two-Year College equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience.
- Annual Accrual of 152 Personal Leave Bank (PLB) Hours.
