Senior Treasury Analyst, FX
The Treasury FX team at Expedia is tasked with overseeing foreign currency risks arising from over $100 billion in annual gross bookings across more than 75 countries. This team collaborates closely with tax, accounting, finance, and legal departments to ensure adequate liquidity and funding for global business operations.
As a vital member of the FX team, you will contribute significantly to managing Expedia's foreign currency exposure. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a strong interest in finance, enjoy analytical thinking, are intellectually curious, and have a keen interest in global currency markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee foreign currency risk for a diverse FX hedge portfolio, including cash flow hedging, balance sheet hedging, and net investment hedging.
- Identify currency exposures and formulate suitable hedging strategies.
- Engage with FX banking partners.
- Evaluate hedging performance and analyze gaps, anomalies, and discrepancies.
- Pinpoint opportunities for enhancing program effectiveness and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the cash management team to address global liquidity requirements.
- Work in partnership with internal departments such as accounting, tax, legal, and advisors.
- Assist with additional Treasury projects and functions as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in Treasury, Accounting, Finance, or Banking.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- High integrity, initiative, motivation, and curiosity.
- Reliable, organized team player with excellent communication skills.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Professional certifications such as MBA, CPA, CFA, or experience in the FX industry are advantageous.
The total cash compensation for this position in Seattle ranges from $82,500.00 to $115,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their earnings up to $132,000.00, contingent upon ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance.
