Job Summary

We are looking for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatrician with expertise in Spanish language to manage our ambulatory pediatric primary care medical practice. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage ambulatory pediatric primary care medical practice by eliciting patient histories, performing physical examinations, providing accurate clinical diagnoses, prescribing evidence-based and cost-effective treatments, and providing patient education.
  • Adhere to productivity standards for physicians, including an average of at least 2.7 patient visits per hour of ambulatory time worked.
  • Maintain and promote patient satisfaction through recognition of the impact of environmental, social, and cultural factors on health.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, including complete, legible, and accurate chart documentation, peer review chart audits and reviews, and designated projects.
  • Practice evidence-based, cost-effective primary care in a team-based model.
  • Make appropriate diagnoses and prescribe appropriate prescriptions and referrals consistent with medical practice guidelines.
  • Prepare, implement, and document age-specific preventative health schedules for pediatric patients.
  • Build and maintain a pediatric medical practice with follow-up of return appointments and referrals, and other methods that assure continuity of care.
  • Maintain clinical competency through regular continuing medical education and provide documentation of such to NP Now's administration upon request.
  • Participate in the newborn nursery in-house coverage schedule at partner hospitals as assigned by the medical director of pediatrics or chief medical officer.
  • Take call for NP Now's patients as assigned by the medical director of pediatrics or chief medical officer.
  • Play a role in educating and training medical and healthcare professionals, as needed, and accept and implement teaching assignments of health center staff as assigned by the medical director of pediatrics or chief medical officer.
