We are currently looking for a full-time Purchasing Agent to join our team in San Jose. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a strong capacity for teamwork, thriving in a dynamic work environment.

Compensation: $40.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of bids.
  • Process material and equipment requisitions from project managers and field personnel.
  • Source specified materials and equipment according to project plans.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
  • Gather pricing from suppliers and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Prepare and manage Submittals.
  • Create Purchase Orders using Viewpoint Spectrum and monitor orders until completion.
  • Draft Subcontracts and ensure compliance with necessary documentation, such as Certificates of Insurance and Certified Payroll.
  • Verify receipt of materials and ensure the accuracy of all orders.
  • Resolve any issues related to orders.
  • Communicate any delays and provide excellent follow-up to support construction operations.
  • Prepare closeout documentation for completed projects.
  • Participate in weekly status meetings and contribute valuable insights regarding project progress.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction purchasing and/or administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Bluebeam, and accounting software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities.
