About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to join our Supply Chain Solutions team at Ryder System. As an Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations within an assigned function, ensuring the attainment of daily operational goals, and leading a team of direct reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service and Expectation Management: Ensure customer satisfaction and manage expectations through effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Staffing Performance Management: Develop and implement strategies to improve staffing performance, including performance management and development of exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Day-to-Day Planning and Scheduling: Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling to ensure efficient operations and meet customer demands.
  • Health and Safety Management: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement measures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations, including those related to logistics and supply chain management.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Experience: Two or more years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or industry-related field required; one or more years of direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) required; advanced knowledge of logistics industry, customer/company local and federal regulations, and supply chain management components required.
