Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Supervisor to join our team in Longmont, CO. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services, including investigating accidents, monitoring operator performance, and conducting audits to ensure compliance with company and client policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigations and Compliance
    • Investigate accidents, incidents, disputes, and disturbances in accordance with policy
    • Work collaboratively with outside agencies and authorities
  • Operator Performance and Training
    • Monitor operator performance and behavior
    • Model passenger interaction skills
    • Coach operators to meet company/client expectations
    • Check and instruct periodically on proper revenue and fare box data collection
  • Service Quality and Efficiency
    • Conduct time point and passenger load checks to ensure schedule and route efficiency
    • Audit service, routes, and road conditions
    • Recommend alternate routes to Dispatch or suggest service improvements
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Write reports regarding service disruptions, security incidents, and operator performance/behavior
    • Assist operators in filing reports
  • Customer Service and Problem Resolution
    • Assist in the processing and follow-up of customer service complaints and requests
    • Coordinate problem resolution with operators, management, passengers, and the public
  • Physical Work and Safety
    • Perform physical work as needed, such as sanding, assisting stuck/sidetracked buses, making bus trades, and helping wheelchair passengers on or off buses
    • Inspect buses and employees for safety compliance and equipment maintenance condition
  • Minimum Requirements
    • Commitment to work any assigned shift in our 24/7 operation, including holiday, split shifts, nights, and weekends, and in all weather conditions
    • Prior transportation supervisory experience
    • Prior transit experience, preferably in Colorado
    • Demonstrated knowledge of DOT regulations
    • High School Diploma/GED with strong preference for college education substantiated with college transcript(s)
    • Maintaining a CDL B with P endorsement
