About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team. This key position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all manufacturing equipment including wrappers, mixers, motors, conveyors, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background in a production setting and experience with industrial automation systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, programming, and repairing automated machinery and equipment such as robots and PLCs. They will also monitor equipment to ensure it is in excellent operating condition, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, repair faulty equipment, and install new equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all manufacturing equipment, including wrappers, mixers, motors, conveyors, and refrigeration systems.
  • Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breakers panels.
  • Connect power cables to equipment, such as electric ranges or motors, and install grounding leads.
  • Monitor and ensure that equipment is in excellent condition for operation.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
  • Repair faulty equipment or systems.
  • Install power on new manufacturing equipment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • An associate's degree or certificate in electrical, mechanical, or industrial automation engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining manufacturing systems and equipment in an automated plant.
  • A background in full machine and electrical control system design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Rockwell PLC and drives certification (highly desirable).
  • RS Logix and Factory Talk View programming knowledge.
  • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems (highly desirable).
  • Familiarity with food plant operations (preferred).
