Key Responsibilities

The Senior Naval Architect will be responsible for:
  • Creating hydrodynamic models and conducting global motion assessments for floating platforms and floating offshore wind turbines (FOWT).
  • Preparing load cases and executing stability evaluations of floating offshore structures and FOWT substructures using appropriate software in line with regulatory design standards.
  • Conducting global loads and hydrodynamic load mapping analyses for offshore floating platforms and FOWT.
  • Designing and analyzing mooring systems, including equipment sizing and specifications for offshore floating platforms and FOWT.
  • Composing technical reports that summarize analysis results and conclusions in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Engaging in the design and analysis of mooring systems for offshore floating platforms and FOWT substructures.
  • Reviewing mooring design reports and vendor documentation in life extension projects and other brownfield studies for offshore floating platforms.

Candidate Profile

We would be delighted to hear from you if your qualifications align with the following essential criteria:
  • Master's degree in Ocean Engineering, Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field, with 10-15 years of industry experience.
  • Expertise in hydrodynamics, stability, and mooring systems for offshore floating structures and FOWT.
  • A minimum of 1.5 years of experience in FOWT project design and analysis.
  • At least 2 years of experience in drilling riser design and analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with a knack for creative solutions.
  • Solid understanding of offshore floating production units such as Spars, TLPs, Semi-Submersibles, FPSOs, and FLNGs.
  • Experience in offshore projects, including new builds, life extensions, and other brownfield projects such as relocations and decommissioning.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software tools such as AQWA, Ansys, SACS, WAMIT, and Orcaflex.
  • Experience in programming with Python, Matlab, Fortran, etc.
