Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our team at the Department of Water Resources. As a key member of our Design Engineering Branch, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of California's dams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze complex plans and specifications for construction or modification of high-hazard dams and their appurtenances.
  • Utilize engineering expertise to evaluate the performance of existing jurisdictional dams and review applications for design and construction of new or existing dams in California.
  • Act as a lead person to other Engineers, Water Resources, and interact well with Division staff, dam owners, consulting engineers, and the general public.
Requirements
  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers
