Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced Veterinary Hospital Director to join our team. This role will be responsible for leading the hospital veterinary team, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring a high level of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Lead hospital veterinarian team and partner with Hospital Office Manager to provide cohesive leadership.
  • Mentor and coach veterinarians to drive continuous improvement in clinical skills, client communication, and standard of care.
  • Hold responsibility for driving hospital commitment to medical quality and compliance with Petco Medical SOPs and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct veterinarian candidate interviewing and onboarding, create veterinarian schedules, and monitor hospital performance.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • 1-3 years minimum of clinical veterinary experience, with experience mentoring and coaching veterinarians preferred.
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
  • Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License, if applicable.
