Position Overview

Your Role as a Lead Educator

As a KIPP Delta educator, your primary responsibilities will include:

Curriculum Design and Instruction
  • Implement and adapt a challenging, standards-based curriculum
  • Create academically rigorous lesson plans, assessments, and rubrics
  • Utilize data to guide instructional strategies
  • Provide consistent feedback to students on their performance and tailor learning plans to individual needs
Foster a Positive School and Classroom Environment
  • Uphold and embody the values and culture of the school
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress
  • Participate in key school events, including staff meetings and parent-teacher conferences
Embrace a Growth Mindset
  • Set and pursue ambitious professional goals annually
  • Engage in constructive feedback exchanges with peers
  • Participate in both individual and school-wide professional development opportunities
Commitment to Educational Equity and Inclusion

Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with student recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts as necessary
  • Provide letters of recommendation for students when required
Qualifications

All KIPP Delta educators must meet the following criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Valid teaching license or a commitment to obtaining state certification if necessary
  • Demonstrated content knowledge in the subject area being taught, meeting Arkansas Qualified Teacher (AQT) standards
  • Successful completion of PRAXIS I and PRAXIS II exams in the relevant content area or a commitment to complete these tests shortly after hiring
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Demonstrated dedication to closing the opportunity gap
Compensation

Salary will be based on experience. KIPP Delta's salary structure is available on our website.
