Job Overview

Position Title: Electrical Control Panel Assembler

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled individual for the assembly of electrical enclosures that are integral to the measurement and regulation of hydrocarbon and chemical products, as well as power and water systems. The enclosures constructed will necessitate the installation of electronic control components in accordance with established standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately terminate input and output signals (I/O) from electronic control components to termination blocks.
- Measure wire lengths precisely based on designated wire colors for each I/O channel.
- Strip insulation from wires and securely connect them to screw terminals, ensuring proper tightening.

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in panel assembly
  • Ability to interpret schematics
  • Proficient in cabling techniques
  • Physical arrangement and wiring of electrical control systems
  • Competence in using hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, hand wrenches, hand saws)
  • Experience with small power tools (e.g., hand drills, sabre saws)
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Outlook)

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong ability to follow instructions
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • High level of dexterity and discipline

Employment Type:
This position is classified as Contract-to-Hire, with an expected duration of 6 months.

Work Environment:
The role requires working on-site, where the candidate will engage in activities that involve reaching, bending, crouching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. The workspace is non-climate controlled, with standard hours from 8 AM to 5 PM (Monday to Friday), but may shift to 6 AM to 3 PM during warmer months. Flexibility for overtime is necessary.
