Maintenance Specialist II Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist II to join our team at Texas Health Resources. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for providing routine and specialized building repair and maintenance support for our hospital, hospital equipment, and hospital properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and general guidance to facility staff in the repair and operation of facility equipment, components, utilities, and the like.
  • Identify and correct problems with mechanical systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, and control systems.
  • Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs, educational opportunities, and related training.
  • Attend 90% of staff meetings and training, and complete required training on time.
Requirements:
  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Specialized training in mechanic trades or a related field required.
  • 3 Years in commercial or industrial environment required OR 7 Years in commercial or industrial environment without licensed electrician, plumber or industrial maintenance mechanic certification required.
  • 1 Year healthcare environment preferred.
  • DL - Drivers License Upon Hire required.
  • Electrician Upon Hire Pref Or Plumber Upon Hire Pref Or Other Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Certification Upon Hire preferred.
