Job Description

Job Title: Program Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to join our team at The Atlas Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as the focal point for our customers, providing exceptional customer service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a communication plan for assigned programs to ensure effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure functional support for each program.
  • Communicate with customers regarding schedule changes, ECO requests, requirements, and schedules.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all buyers and customers.
  • Ensure internal and external issues are rectified in a timely manner.
  • Monitor purchase orders placed within the company for special need items, customer-provided tooling, expedite charges, non-recurring engineering fees, and tooling charges.
  • Receive and validate customer-provided purchase orders and change orders.
  • Communicate customer feedback to internal customers, including priorities, quality, delivery, and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
  • Update and monitor customer delivery schedule status daily using the Expedite Report and communicate any problems with the appropriate departments and/or customers.
  • Support Andon Walks.
  • Review and work obsolete inventory and material as necessary.
  • Prepare data for and attend required meetings.
  • Monitor customer-provided forecast.
  • Accomplish daily tasks with quality work, discipline, and a sense of urgency.
  • Assist with project controls, including budgeting/cost tracking, scheduling, and forecasting.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure outside sourcing and processing support delivery schedule.
  • Coordinate RMA's and ensure a timely resolution.
  • Ensure written and oral communications are professional.
  • Makes recommendations to improve processes.
  • Coordinates with other departments as the need arises.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of Customer Service or Program Management experience preferred.
  • MRP or ERP system experience beneficial.
  • Machine shop understanding a plus.
  • Aviation background helpful.
