  • Scheduling and Coordination
    • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments, procedures, and tests with multiple providers.
    • Verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations as needed.
    • Manage patient outcome tools, including preparation and distribution.
  • Administrative Department Support
    • Provide reception and patient check-in services.
    • Offer telephone coverage and route messages accordingly.
    • Track insurance verification using multiple systems.
    • Maintain lobby areas and ensure patient documentation is complete.
  • Chart Preparation
    • Analyze patient records to determine if outside documents are needed.
    • Review patient consent forms and ensure they are updated.
    • Obtain and index outside documents into the electronic medical record.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in a medical field is an asset.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a medical office, including administrative support, scheduling, customer service, and working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and electronic medical records.
Physical Demands
  • Sedentary work with occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
