Key Responsibilities

The CNC Field Service Technician will possess a solid understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical and electrical components. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Traveling daily to customer locations, with the requirement of overnight stays for servicing remote sites or participating in training programs.
  • Installing, commissioning, calibrating, and maintaining CNC machinery and related accessories at client facilities. This includes operator training, system networking, software applications, preventive maintenance, and major repairs.
  • Exhibiting a collaborative spirit and contributing positively to team dynamics.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating daily with office management. Updating the status of repairs and installations using the Salesforce Lightning Customer Support system.
  • Staying informed about the machine tool industry and the specific product lines offered by the company.
  • Promoting preventative maintenance and effectively diagnosing and resolving CNC equipment issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of one year of experience with a machine tool manufacturer or distributor, or relevant factory maintenance experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer relations.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues both in person and over the phone.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing circumstances and challenges.
  • Basic proficiency in digital tools, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to develop electro-mechanical skills, including knowledge of motors, drives, and transformers.
  • Familiarity with machine tool manufacturing, installation, operation, and maintenance is advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience in manufacturing or machining environments, with awareness of potential hazards such as noise and heavy machinery.
