Job Title: Hospice Chaplain

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Hospice Chaplain to join our per diem team in Bladen and Columbus Counties. As a Hospice Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support to patients and their caregivers, developing and maintaining relationships with local clergy and acting as a liaison between hospice and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer spiritual guidance and emotional support to patients and families in need.
  • Maintain a network of local clergy and other resources for patient referrals.
  • Act as a bridge between hospice services and the broader community.
  • Document visit records and maintain accurate patient information.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Prefer advanced degrees or certifications in pastoral ministry or counseling.
  • Experience in therapeutic methods and crisis intervention, preferably in death, dying, and grief.
  • Ability to be adaptable, open-minded, and ecumenical.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
