Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Employment Facilitator to join our team at Serco North America. As a Senior Employment Facilitator, you will play a critical role in supporting the transition of military personnel into civilian life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide transitioning military personnel in identifying their career goals and assisting them in recognizing any employment or education gaps.
  • Conduct large group instruction and provide individual counseling on the job search process.
  • Mentor and assist in the training of part-time Employment Facilitators new to the program.
  • Provide transitioning military personnel, family members, and veterans with a comprehensive understanding of preparing for civilian employment, job searching, job application processes, networking, technical training opportunities, credentialing, and assistance in preparing for civilian employment and participation in technical programs and schools.
  • Facilitate job search and process workshops with curriculum and activities created specifically for spouses, veterans, and wounded warriors.
Qualifications
  • An Associate degree and 5 years of TAP training experience, or a Bachelor's degree, any discipline from an accredited college or university and at least 3 years of TAP training experience.
  • Experience demonstrating understanding of private and public sector employment processes.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in MS Windows and Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with military clients, instruct and speak in front of a group, be observant of others, possess the ability to engage an audience, and respond to inquiries independently.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
Additional Desired Experience and Skills
  • Previous experience as a TAP classroom instructor or career counselor.
