At Amazon, we're looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer II, Auto Software to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our cutting-edge applications and products. You'll test these applications and products at the user level and code level, both manually and with automated tools.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software components, manual testing, and automated testing with scripting tools. You'll work closely with Development, Product Management, User Experience, and Customer Support groups to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and suites that approximate real-world environments.

Key responsibilities include driving all phases of testing, creating test plans, writing and executing test cases, and promoting continuous improvements to the quality assurance processes for Ring automotive products. You'll also work closely with engineers, business owners, and customer service professionals throughout the development and testing lifecycle, including requirements gathering and design.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer II, Auto Software, you'll consult with and advise project management and development teams on technical issues related to planning, developing, implementing, and modifying testing procedures. You'll provide regular, detailed status reports on project progress, including test cases executed, bugs discovered, and bugs fixed.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
  • Experience in automation testing
  • Experience in manual testing
  • Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
  • Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
