Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at LHH Recruitment Solutions. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Management: Timely monitoring of accounts payable records and review of payment proposals, ensuring they are in accordance with the budget.
- Closing Entries: Preparation and follow-up of closing entries, including bonus accrual, payroll accrual, and amortization.
- Journal Entries and Reconciliations: Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Tax Compliance: Preparation of annual 1099 forms and knowledge of state, federal, and sales tax regulations.
- Vendor Reconciliation: Reconciliation of vendor statements with accounts payable records.
- Document Management: Maintain archives of all supporting documents and signatures for internal control purposes.
- Support to General Accounting Manager: Support the General Accounting Manager in daily tasks and special projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA license preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of general ledger experience, with public accounting experience a plus.
- Technical Skills: Experience with SAP (specifically accounts payable - finance) preferred. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in other accounting processes.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs. Strong team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
