POSITION OVERVIEW
Demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities in overseeing personnel and orchestrating patient care initiatives. Collaborate effectively with a diverse range of healthcare professionals and ancillary staff. Act as a mentor and exemplary figure for all team members. Reports directly to a Nursing Director or Administrative Director. Guidelines for nursing standards and staffing will be provided by the Chief Nursing Executive.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of an accredited nursing program with active RN licensure in the State of Texas is mandatory. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is essential. National certification (e.g., CCRN, RNC, CEN, CNOR, OCN, ANCC, CAN, CPAN, CFRN, etc.) in a relevant specialty is required unless currently pursuing further education. National Certification must be obtained within one year following the completion of the specified educational requirements. A minimum of three years of recent, full-time experience in a hospital or clinic setting is necessary.

Proof of completion for courses in accordance with all American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider guidelines is required.

Candidates seeking advancement must exhibit consistent expertise in a charge nurse capacity. External candidates must possess at least two (2) years of experience in a comparable management role.

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION

A valid license from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas to practice as a registered nurse is essential.

A current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card is required.
