Position Summary:
A General Assembler is responsible for the installation and assembly of parts and materials according to both written and verbal instructions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute installations and assemble components following detailed work instructions, routings, blueprints, and verbal guidance.
2. Clean, assemble, disassemble, and replace parts as necessary.
3. Maintain a tidy and safe work environment while optimizing space utilization.
4. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
5. Operate and maintain shop equipment in accordance with safety standards.
6. Adhere to quality service standards and comply with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
7. Keep the production supervisor informed about work status, workload, challenges, and progress related to assignments.
8. Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in reading and basic mathematics; ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
- Capability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, shop tools, equipment, and measuring devices.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and procedures; experience with machinery and forklifts is preferred.
- Background in manufacturing and/or automotive fields is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Openness to participate in educational training and classes.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl.
- Frequent use of hand tools and materials, which may lead to repetitive hand motions.
- Regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs.; frequently lift and move up to 30 lbs.; occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to see and adjust visual focus both up-close and at a distance; position requires peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish colors.

Work Environment:
- Exposure to high noise levels.
- Machinery operation necessitates the use of safety equipment, including but not limited to: eye protection, hearing protection, work boots, and hard hats.
- Required to drive and may occasionally work outdoors.
- Loose-fitting clothing and jewelry are not permitted.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation for this position will range from $18 to $20 per hour. Qualified candidates will be compensated for a 40-hour work week, working four 10-hour shifts while attending classes.
