Job Title: Night Auditor

Marriott International is seeking a Night Auditor to join our team at The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa.

Job Summary

The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and rolling the date. This role also involves processing all payment types, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit. Additionally, the Night Auditor will process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete end-of-day activities, including posting charges to accounts and running night audit backup
  • Process all payment types, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit
  • Process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges
  • Print contingency lists to have a record of all guests in case of emergency
  • Sell a room/accommodation to guests without reservations based on availability
  • Operate telephone switchboard station, process requests for wake-up calls, and advise guests of any messages
  • Complete the Room Rate Variance Report
  • Process all guest check-ins and assign room
  • Activate or reissue room keys using electronic key machine
  • Count bank at end of shift and secure bank
  • Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Less than 1-year related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • None
