The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking a collaborative and socially conscious scholar to join our dynamic faculty in the Department of Public Health Education. We invite applications for two tenure-track positions: one at the Assistant Professor level and one at either the Assistant or tenured Associate Professor level.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the promotion of health equity and social justice through research and teaching that examines and addresses social determinants of health.
- Establish a robust research agenda that integrates students and complements departmental strengths.
- Teach and provide professional mentorship across graduate and undergraduate programs.
- Work closely with students in our PhD program by serving on doctoral program committees, dissertation committees, and providing broad professional mentorship.
- Provide meaningful service to the department, school, university, and profession.
- A Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, ScD, EdD) in Public Health or a related field.
- Evidence of scholarly productivity and potential appropriate for rank (e.g., peer-reviewed publications and research funding).
- Evidence of committed and excellent teaching at graduate and/or undergraduate levels.
- A demonstrated record of working collegially with faculty, students, staff, and community partners.
- Expertise in quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods to support graduate students and faculty.
- Experience and passion for mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
- CHES/MCHES and/or CPH certification and/or eligibility.
