Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Driver and Fleet Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving vehicles between local sites, maintaining building and grounds at fixed route locations, and performing various maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Drive vehicles between local sites and maintain building and grounds at fixed route locations.
  • Perform various maintenance tasks, including mopping, removing trash, and using floor machines.
  • Report possible safety violations or issues to the safety and training manager.
  • Responsible for outfitting fleet with documentation and/or equipment as directed by management.
  • Report any vehicle issues or leaks to the maintenance site.
  • Place client fliers or rider alerts on vehicles as required.
  • Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles, including maneuvering vehicles through the wash bay.
  • In instances of inclement weather, prepare the fixed route lot, including operating the snowplow and/or sander, placing ice melt, and placing hazard signs.
  • Responsible for delivery of any utilities-related paperwork between the operations and maintenance sites.
  • Report any maintenance issues to supervisors or management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid state driver's license with a minimum of one year of driving experience and a good driving record.
  • Eligible for and able to obtain a Commercial Drivers License with a Passenger endorsement within 30 days of hire.
  • Applicants who already hold a CDL will receive preference.
Physical Demands
  • Less than 10% of work is accomplished in doors and in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
  • Greater than 90% of work is accomplished in an open garage facility.
  • Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, repetitive hand wrist motion, and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
  • May be asked to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, with access to safety protective gear.
