Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Intellectual Disability Professional I to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the Personal Support Team (PST) process, ensuring that each individual on their caseload receives assessments and evaluations as identified by the PST. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of rehabilitation and skills acquisition programs for persons with intellectual disabilities, including program design and data collection and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and facilitate the participation of individuals and their Legally Authorized Representatives (LARs) in the development and delivery of needed supports and services.
Facilitate the review of assessment results and recommendations, and the interdisciplinary discussion to develop an integrated, collaborative, and comprehensive Personal Support Plan (PSP).
Ensure the implementation, integration, and continued appropriateness of the PSP for each assigned individual, monitoring and providing oversight of the active treatment program.
Coordinate the development of programs, services, and activities based on individuals' identified needs, strengths, and preferences, and evaluate individuals' behaviors and the implementation of their positive behavior support plans.
Provide instruction and training to staff on behavioral support techniques and methodologies, and observe and interact with individuals to evaluate the implementation of services and supports.
Collect and analyze data on program implementation and effectiveness, and coordinate with service providers to make modifications as necessary.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, social work, or special education.
Strong knowledge of the PST process and rehabilitation and skills acquisition programs for persons with intellectual disabilities.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and constructive manner, and to assess and solve problems.
Ability to work independently and organize/prioritize work, and to work harmoniously and professionally with staff at all levels.
Physical ability to perform direct care work as needed, including emergency procedures.
