Job Description

As an Occupational Therapist at Autism Matters, you will have the opportunity to transform lives by providing exceptional therapy services to our clients with ASD and other diagnoses. In this rewarding role, you will deliver up to 30 hours of hands-on therapy time per week, allowing you to make a real difference every day.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess occupational performance and analyze results to determine client needs and appropriate treatment goals.
  • Craft personalized treatment plans with meaningful goals and create innovative generalization plans to help clients apply their skills across various settings.
  • Document progress effectively, prepare engaging therapy materials, and collaborate with our dedicated team in client-focused meetings.
  • Train and support caregivers on carryover strategies for home and community environments.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration during meetings, overlaps, and trainings.
  • Communicate, collaborate, and educate effectively with professionals, parents, and caregivers to carryover strategies, generalize skills, and best support the client and family.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Health.
  • Certified Occupational Therapist by NBCOT.
  • Experience working with children, preferably children with Autism.
  • 1-2 years' experience as an occupational therapist in pediatrics or field experience in pediatric setting preferred.
