Job Title: Licensed Mental Health Counselor

TK Health is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at the Cascade County Jail in Great Falls, Montana.

Job Summary:

We are a correctional healthcare provider with a regional focus on providing patient care where the need is highest. Our team oversees the day-to-day healthcare operations in facilities with inmate populations ranging from 25 to nearly 2,800 inmates.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, evaluate, and coordinate mental health care for incarcerated individuals
  • Formulate individualized release plans to coordinate a continuum of care
  • Assess psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention to emotionally distressed and mentally ill inmates
  • Conduct evaluations of inmates for the purpose of suicide intervention and prevention
  • Coordinate inmate care with Facility, and Medical staff to ensure inmates' special needs are addressed
  • Develop Individualized Treatment Plans for psychiatric inmates who require intensive behavior management
  • Promote linkages with community mental health agencies, other support services, and families for inmate care and coordination for continuum of care
  • Maintain the safety and security of staff and inmates when making clinical decisions regarding inmates
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities for off-hours MHP coverage
  • Provide mental health training for jail staff as needed

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in social work, clinical psychology, psychiatric nursing, or related field
  • Licensed as a Social Worker, Marriage/Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Professional Counselor required
