We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team at Schnitzer Steel Industries Inc. As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading electrical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that all safety, schedule, cost, and other project requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Successfully initiate, execute, and close out capital projects assigned.
- Power Distribution Systems: Maintain a safe and reliable plant power distribution system.
- Leadership: Lead various technical and skilled labor contractors, while maintaining a high labor efficiency and ensuring a safe work environment.
- Contract Management: Assist Purchasing and Operations groups with the negotiation of equipment and construction contracts.
- Safety: Committed to a safe workplace and understanding of various OSHA, NFPA, and other safety rules.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with power distribution systems, electrical theory, and protection relaying.
- Knowledge of modern industrial electrical and electronic equipment.
- Experience with EasyPower (or similar) Electrical software and AutoCad.
- Industrial or Heavy Industrial project engineering or management experience.
- Ability to lead projects and ensure that all safety, schedule, cost, and other project requirements are met.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with modern electrical preventive and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Knowledge and understanding of key contracting terms, types, and language.
