Position Overview:
As the Emergency Preparedness Program Manager, you will act as the primary liaison for matters related to Emergency Preparedness initiatives, objectives, and strategies.
Role Responsibilities:
In this capacity, you will:
- Maintain regular communication with the Regional Supervisor to discuss the needs, challenges, and successes of health departments within the designated area.
- Participate in scheduled Emergency Preparedness conference calls and staff meetings organized by the program Director and Regional Supervisors.
- Attend District Coalition meetings as required.
- Identify and relay any planning, training, and exercise support requirements to the Regional Supervisor.
- Provide guidance and respond to inquiries regarding preparedness efforts or direct them to appropriate resources as necessary.
- Assist in monitoring grant deliverables and progress during preparedness activities, data collection, and inventory tracking as directed.
- Complete any necessary reporting and tracking forms as requested by the Regional Supervisor or Director.
- Support the coordination of Medical Countermeasure (MCM) Operational Readiness Reviews (ORR) in relevant jurisdictions as needed.
- Prepare summary reports of coalition or district meetings, compiling individual meeting notes on a bi-weekly reporting template.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Previous experience in a program coordination role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in tracking and reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred; relevant Public Health experience may be considered as a substitute.
- Experience in planning, training, and exercise development.
- Background in Emergency Preparedness.
- Prior experience with grant management.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA and other applicable standards. This role involves primarily sedentary work, requiring occasional movement around the office for meetings. Repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor are expected.
