Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Baylor Evnen Wolfe & Tannehill, LLP is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Attorney to join our team. As a leading law firm in Lincoln, NE, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, integrity, and community involvement.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Litigation Attorney to handle a wide range of legal matters, including discovery, hearings, mediations, and court proceedings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including admissions, disclosures, and interrogatories.
  • Attend and manage hearings, mediations, depositions, settlement conferences, and court proceedings.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and managing attorneys to understand client goals.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.
  • Analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and research case law, statutes, regulations, and documents impacting our clients.
  • Communicate clearly and logically with regulatory agencies, courts, counsel, clients, and managing attorneys.
  • Handle complex problems using initiative, creativity, and sound professional judgment.
  • Work independently and as a contributing team member.
  • Manage a caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Mentor support staff.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited Law School.
  • 3+ years of litigation experience preferred.
