The Technical Sales Specialist role is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service and technical assistance to our sales team. This position entails regular engagement with end users, engineers, contractors, and our sales representatives.
The ideal candidate will exhibit outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, fostering strong relationships with members of the Industrial Refrigeration Marketing Team and EVAPCO's Independent Sales Representative network. This team collaborates with various departments across the organization, sales offices throughout North America, and directly interacts with clients.
This role encompasses the creation of sales and marketing resources, alongside providing product application support and pricing guidance for EVAPCO's hygienic air handling units (CPA, EDF, and ECA) and factory-built penthouse evaporators (SSTP) tailored for the Food & Beverage sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prompt and precise responses to inquiries from customers, sales representatives, and colleagues.
- Conduct both in-person and virtual technical sales presentations for clients.
- Develop production solutions and provide timely pricing estimates.
- Prepare order entry and submission documentation.
- Engage in industry-related trade associations.
- Create marketing materials, engineering bulletins, and technical documentation.
- Conduct industry research and comparative analysis on alternative technologies.
- Assess project specifications, product timelines, and design blueprints.
- Test unit selection software during updates.
- Travel to various representative offices and client locations across North America.
- Facilitate factory tours and partake in client engagement activities.
Position Requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical, with coursework in Thermodynamics.
• The candidate must possess the ability to communicate professionally and effectively, establishing rapport with both the internal EVAPCO team and external sales personnel. The Marketing team serves as the face of EVAPCO to the sales force and clients.
• The preferred candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in application engineering or sales within the Industrial Refrigeration sector, although recent graduates seeking entry-level opportunities will also be considered.
Compensation:
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, along with profit-sharing opportunities. Comprehensive benefits and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) are also included.
