We are seeking a skilled Health Screener to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Health Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of plasma donations.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet donors and conduct thorough health screenings to ensure their eligibility for plasma donation.
- Perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machines to collect high-quality plasma.
- Monitor donors during the donation process and manage any adverse reactions.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of plasmapheresis equipment.
- Stock supplies, break down empty cartons, and assist with proper disposal.
- Take and record donor vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, and temperature.
- Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS).
- Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system.
- Support the center management team in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
- Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
- Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
- 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.
