We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our team at Saint Joseph Village in Freeport, IL. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities- Assist with basic patient care activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with procedures ordered by physicians and supervised by Registered Nurses (RNs).
- Assist patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living, and transfers/transport.
- Report findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Assist with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly, ensuring resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations.
- Nurse Aide certification obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- BLS Provider certification preferred, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
