Position Overview:


The HR Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting management and staff in various human resources functions, including employee relations, onboarding processes, and HR information system management, while adhering to company policies and applicable laws.


Key Responsibilities:
Act as the main point of contact for supervisors and employees regarding HR policies and procedures.

Assist in clarifying and applying HR policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.

Manage union-related grievances and aid in the arbitration process.

Conduct thorough investigations and provide recommendations for addressing misconduct.

Oversee the onboarding process for new hires and facilitate orientation sessions.

Inform new employees about HR policies and practices.

Conduct exit interviews to gather insights on employee departures.

Engage in special projects within the department as needed.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Associate degree with 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree

Experience in labor relations

Preferred Qualifications:
SPHR or PHR certification

Skills and Competencies:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, especially in challenging situations.

Strong decision-making and analytical thinking abilities.

Basic understanding of compensation and benefits administration.

Experience in labor relations.
