Assemble Control Equipment Specialist

Job Summary: Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for performing winding, assembly, and complex wiring tasks to produce complete sub-assemblies and final control equipment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Works from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment.
  • Determines necessary parts and material and prepares requisition to obtain parts and material from stock.
  • Prepares wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals. Routes out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits, and modifies parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assembly.
  • May require lifting, bending, ladder work, and other forms of movement.
  • Checks electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to quality standards and makes necessary adjustments and alignment when required.
  • Reports irregularities or equipment malfunctions to coach. Maintains records as required.
  • Observes all safety and hygiene rules and regulations.

Requirements:


  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the work location. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Mechanical or Electrical background.
  • Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead.
  • Able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Proven history of safe work habits.
  • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision.
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
  • Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends.
